Residential HPWH Modelling Documentation
Overview of documents required to model a HPWH for residential schemes.
The following documents are required for residential HPWH applications:
AS/NZS 5125.1 HP COP Performance Report
- Raw test data at 1-minute intervals for test condition 2 (19°C ambient) and low-temperature test (1-2°C ambient).
- Regression spreadsheet calculations.
AS/NZS 4692 Tank Heat Loss Test Report
Tank Drawing
- Must show the height/volume above all fittings, elements, and sensors.
- Include the tank/system model name.
- Specify the tank wall thickness.
- Ensure it’s in English.
- For standalone HP, provide a schematic drawing and tank drawing.
- For integral HP, include a drawing of the microchannel HX (if applicable).
Control Settings
- Set point/dead band.
- Legionella control method – daily 45%/weekly 90%.
- For standalone HP only, provide pipework insulation specifications: thickness and thermal conductivity (as specified in the installation manual).
