The Amitime aetherHome is an integral heat pump water heater: the R290 heat pump and 270 L enamel-lined tank are built into a single monobloc unit, sold in Australia under the Aether Australia brand. In the factory default Standard mode it delivers 3.5 kW of heating with a 0.71 kW power input and a COP of 4.93 at the manufacturer’s test condition (20 degrees C dry bulb / 15 degrees C wet bulb ambient air, water heated from 9 to 55 degrees C). Economic, Booster and E-Heater modes are also available, and the unit runs across an ambient range of -7 to 45 degrees C.
Hot water is delivered at 55 degrees C (up to 70 degrees C in Booster mode), with usable hot water delivery of 208 L (273 L mixed). A 1.2 kW electric element backs up the heat pump during low-ambient and legionella control operation. R290 is a low-GWP hydrocarbon refrigerant (395 g charge), and the heat pump carries a 5-year warranty under normal operating conditions.
The manufacturer’s own model code for this unit is QAMF-3.5HGAAB/270HX, though this code is not currently listed on the public register under the AMITIME brand; only the aether Australia registration (“aetherHome”) could be confirmed against the register.
