Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Bosch HP 270-1E 0 FOV/S, sold as the Compress 3000 DW FO, is an integral heat pump water heater: the compressor, fan and evaporator sit in the same cabinet above a 270 L storage tank, coupled through a double wall plate heat exchanger rather than a wraparound coil. The R134a heat pump delivers 1.5 kW of heating capacity at 0.6 kW power input, giving a declared COP of 3.3 (EN 255-3, air and water inlet both at 15 degrees C). This model runs in “Heat Pump Only” mode across an ambient range of 3 to 40 degrees C, with no combined heat-pump-plus-element boost mode.
An 1.8 kW electric element (240 V) provides backup heating once the unit is powered outside that ambient range. Hot water is delivered at a fixed set point of 60 degrees C, with an outlet range of 60 to 65 degrees C, and sound pressure is 43 dBA at 2 m. The single-cabinet unit stands 1840 mm tall with a 670 mm diameter and a net weight of 130 kg.
Installation must meet AS/NZS 3500.4 (plumbing) and AS/NZS 3000 (electrical) in Australia, or Clause G12 of the New Zealand Building Code in NZ. The manual does not state a warranty period or a dedicated performance certification standard for this model.
