Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Bosch HP 270-2E 0 FOOV/S, sold as the Compress 3000 DW FOO, is the follow-on generation of Bosch’s 270 L integral heat pump water heater: compressor, fan and evaporator sit in the same cabinet as the tank, coupled through a double wall plate heat exchanger. The R134a heat pump cycle delivers 1.5 kW of heating capacity at 0.6 kW power input alone (COP 3.3, EN 255-3 at 20 degrees C air / 15 degrees C water inlet), widening the heat-pump-only ambient range down to -7 degrees C. Below 0 degrees C the unit switches to “Full” mode, running the heat pump together with its electric element for a combined 3.15 kW heating capacity at 2.25 kW input.
The electric element is rated at 1.65 kW (230 V, 7.2 A) and also backs up the unit above 0 degrees C on demand. Sound pressure is 43 dBA at 2 m. The single-cabinet unit stands 1840 mm tall with a 705 mm diameter, net weight 113 kg (128 kg gross/packed).
Installation must meet AS/NZS 3500.4 (plumbing) and AS/NZS 3000 (electrical) in Australia, or Clause G12 of the New Zealand Building Code in NZ. The manual does not state a warranty period or a dedicated performance certification standard for this model.
