Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Bosch HP 270-2E 0 FOOV/S is an all-in-one heat pump water heater: compressor, fan, evaporator and 270 L tank share a single cabinet. On the R134a heat pump cycle alone it delivers 1.5 kW of heating for 0.6 kW input, COP 3.3 (EN255-3, water inlet 15 degrees C, air 15 degrees C). Between -7 and 0 degrees C ambient the appliance automatically adds a 1.65 kW electric element alongside the compressor (“Full mode”), lifting combined output to 3.15 kW for 2.25 kW input; below -7 degrees C or above 40 degrees C it runs on the electric element alone.
Net weight is 113 kg, sound pressure at 2 m is 43 dB(A), and the digital controller supports weekly legionella disinfection, programmable operating windows, a noise-reduction fan mode and optional Bosch photovoltaic system integration. Set point is adjustable from 30 to 60 degrees C (factory default 56 degrees C).
This is a later generation of the Compress 3000 platform than the HP 270-1E 0 FOV/S: same 270 L tank size, compressor (Highly WHP01900) and heat-pump-only COP, but with the added electric-assisted “Full mode” boost and a wider cold-ambient operating range down to -7 degrees C.
