The Calitec WH-70 is a standalone heat pump unit, not an all-in-one cylinder: the heat exchanger sits inside the outdoor heat pump cabinet and a circulation pump moves water between the heat pump and one or two separate hot water cylinders (250 L or 300 L), so it can serve two cylinders from one heat pump. The R290 heat pump delivers 5,225 W at 7 degrees C ambient (5,830 W at 15 degrees C) at a 1,360 W power input, producing around 124 L/hr at a 40 degree C temperature rise.
COP ranges from 4 at 8 degrees C ambient to 6.2 at 30 degrees C (5 at 18 degrees C), tested to AS/NZS 5125.1. The unit operates across -10 to 45 degrees C ambient and can heat water to a maximum of 65 degrees C. The stainless steel cabinet (1050 x 350 x 638 mm) weighs 58 kg.
The connected cylinders carry their own 3 kW electric backup element. Calitec covers the heat pump (mono block) for 5 years and the hot water cylinders for 20 years.
