What customers say
Sourced from EnergyAE's HPWH customer-sentiment dataset (public review sites and forums). A small, self-selected sample — not a representative survey.
The Carrier Blue IWH280L is an all-in-one integral heat pump water heater imported and distributed in New Zealand by AHI Carrier: a top-mounted compressor sits above a 280 L nominal vitreous-enamel tank in a single cabinet, 650 mm diameter and 1936 mm tall, weighing 154 kg. The heat pump alone delivers 2.0 kW heating capacity, drawing up to 4000 W (17.3 A) maximum rated input including the 3.0 kW electric element.
The unit produces 49 dB(A) noise and includes built-in frost protection for the condenser, a handy controller with temperature setting, timer and safety lock, and Carrier’s Smart Home app for remote control. It carries WaterMark and CE certification.
AHI Carrier NZ backs the residential unit with a 5 year warranty (additional/extended warranty terms are published separately on ahi-carrier.co.nz). A smaller 170L version is also sold under the Carrier Blue name - see the IWH170L entry.
