Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.

The Dux 270DHB36 is an integral heat pump water heater: the R290 heat pump and 270 L tank are built into a single monobloc unit with a rotary compressor, so there is no separate outdoor module to site. The unit delivers 3.6 kW of heating with a 0.8 kW power input at the manufacturer’s measurement condition (20 degrees C ambient, 15 degrees C water inlet, 55 degrees C water outlet), and runs in ambient temperatures from -5 to 43 degrees C.

Hot water is delivered at up to 60 degrees C, and a 2.4 kW electric element backs up the heat pump. The refrigerant charge is 680 g of R290, a flammable hydrocarbon requiring installation by a licensed refrigeration mechanic. The unit uses 3/4 inch water connections and a 230-240V single-phase supply, with the cabinet measuring 640 mm diameter by 2010 mm high.

Register variants sharing similar model codes (270DHB36P, and the 270DHC36 / 270DHC36P family) may be closely related products, but this manual does not confirm they share this unit’s tank and heat pump, so they are excluded from this entry.
