The Dux DHSA45-N300 is a split heat pump water heater: an outdoor R290 heat pump unit connected by refrigeration piping to a 300 L storage tank, installed and commissioned by a licensed refrigeration mechanic. R290 is a flammable Class 3 hydrocarbon refrigerant, and the heat pump unit is suitable for outdoor installation only.
The system runs on a single-phase 230-240V AC supply, connects to water mains up to 800 kPa, and fits a pressure and temperature relief valve rated at 1000 kPa. Tank parts carry a 7 year warranty (3 years labour) for single-family dwellings, reducing to 3 years parts (1 year labour) for other applications, with refrigeration components covered 3 years (single dwelling) or 1 year (other applications).
