The Ecogenica EG-215FREC-W (sold under the ECONOVA product name as ECON-215FREC-W) is a split-system R290 heat pump water heater with a 215 L tank and a 3.6 kW rapid-boost electric element, plus Wi-Fi control. The heat pump connects to the tank through pre-charged refrigerant quick-connects rather than a pumped water loop, and is rated at 3.15 kW heating capacity with a declared COP of about 5 at inlet water 14 degrees C, dry bulb 19 degrees C, wet bulb 15 degrees C, and a hot water set point of 55 degrees C. It operates across an ambient range of -7 to 43 degrees C.
The tank is a fully welded enamel unit built to AS/NZS 2712 and AS/NZS 60335.2.40, and the system complies with AS 3498 and AS/NZS 1677.2. Hot water temperature is capped at 68 degrees C at the outlet. The unit requires a dedicated RCBO circuit and must be installed by a licensed plumber and electrician per the Plumbing Code of Australia.
This model shares its heat pump and tank platform with the larger EG-300FREC-W (290 L) in the same W-series range.
