Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Ecogenica EG-330FR is a split-system heat pump water heater: a 330 L glass-lined tank paired with a quick-connect outdoor heat pump unit on pre-charged one-shot R290 refrigerant couplings. The refrigerant circuit heats the water directly through a jacket wrapped around the tank, rather than through an intermediate water loop.
The heat pump delivers 4.6 kW of heating capacity from 1.02 kW input, a declared COP of 4.51 W/W at a 55 degree C outlet setting, and operates across an ambient range of -7 to 43 degrees C. This is the largest unit in the residential FR range, with the highest input current draw (7.0 A), and carries no electric backup element.
EG-330FRC is the commercial variant of the same physical unit (higher set temperature, single top sensor); Ecogenica’s warranty terms treat EG-330FR and EG-330FRC as one product line, with 7 years on the tank and 5 years on the compressor.
