Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Econova ECON-300RVW is a Wi-Fi enabled, all-in-one heat pump water heater built around a 290 L tank. A high-efficiency DC variable-frequency compressor running R290 delivers 2.65 kW of heating capacity for a declared COP of approximately 5.7, and the unit operates across an ambient range of -7 to 43 degrees C. The tank measures 640 mm in diameter by 2005 mm high, with 3/4 inch BSP water connections and a 3-minute delay start on power-up.
The base ECON-300RVW has no electric element. The ECON-300RVW-2.0E variant adds a 2 kW rapid boost element and the ECON-300RVW-4.8EC variant a 4.8 kW element, both activated from the top sensor to add heat to the upper tank only under high load; the heat pump and tank are otherwise identical across the range. Maximum delivered water temperature is 70 degrees C, and all variants run a weekly AS 3498 legionella disinfection cycle from the bottom sensor (90% of tank volume to at least 60 degrees C for 32 minutes, performed at 2 am).
Warranty on the all-in-one system is 5 years, with 2 years on labour and ancillary components (PTR valve, tempering valve, isolation valve, pressure limiting valve). The unit is certified to AS/NZS 60335.1 and AS/NZS 60335.2.40 for electrical safety and AS/NZS 2712 for heated water systems. The register lists this product under RVW, RVW-2.0E and RVW-4.8EC element-size variants; certificate values are the same across those variants.
