“We have the Gree Whio 270L and it's awesome, it's very quiet. It's enough for 4 people. It has 7 year warranty labour + parts, the best I could find.”

The Gree WHIO GRS-2.3Pd/TD270ANpH-K is an integral heat pump water heater sold under the same brand and model code in New Zealand (marketed as “WHIO”) and Australia: the R290 heat pump and a 270 L storage tank are built into a single monobloc cabinet (663 mm wide, 1924 mm tall, 109 kg net). It is rated at 2.5 kW heating capacity and 0.450 kW power input, with an inverter-driven COP of 5.4 across the WHIO range.
The heat pump operates from -7 to 45 degrees C ambient and heats water to 70 degrees C on the heat pump alone (no booster element needed under normal conditions), with a 2.0 kW electric element for backup. The external microchannel heat exchanger, blue crystal-titanium-enamel tank (tested 1080 hours for acid resistance and corrosion) and built-in Wi-Fi (Gree+ app) are common across the range.
Gree NZ backs the WHIO range with a full 7 year parts and labour warranty.
