The iStore 180L is an all-in-one integral heat pump water heater: a single cabinet with the compressor, fan and controller mounted on top of a glass-lined storage tank, heated by an external wrap-around condenser coil. It uses R290 (propane) refrigerant, a flammable gas class 3 refrigerant under AS 1677, and draws a rated power input of 0.58 kW during the heating cycle.
The 540 mm diameter cabinet stands 1956 mm tall and weighs 93 kg empty, suiting narrow side-of-house installations. An electric booster element is fitted for manual single-cycle boost heating, and the unit runs a weekly anti-legionella cycle by heating 45 percent of the tank to 60 degrees C.
The tank, refrigeration circuit and electrical/controller components each carry a 5 year parts and labour warranty; the sacrificial anode and PTR valve carry 1 year.
