Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Kelvinator EcoKnight KHPE340362 is the larger-tank sibling in the same split-system range as the KHPE270362: the identical outdoor R410A heat pump unit (model KSE362HPCA) paired with a 340 L vitreous enamel-coated steel storage tank in place of the 270 L version. Heat pump performance figures (ambient range, noise, electrical supply, boost element) are shared across the whole KSE362HPCA tank-size range per the manufacturer’s user manual: -7 to 50 degrees C ambient operation, 55 dBA outdoor noise, 220-240V/50Hz single-phase at 15A, on continuous or extended off-peak (off-peak 2) tariff.
The storage tank thermostat maintains water between 47 and 60 degrees C, with a weekly high-temperature cycle to 60 degrees C for Legionella control under AS 3498. A 3.6 kW electric boost element in the heat pump provides manual backup heating for up to 24 hours when needed. Maximum water pressure is 850 kPa, and the heat pump can be sited up to 5 m from the tank.
The same heat pump and tank platform is registered under four tank finish/colour codes (A-D), each with continuous and off-peak-2 power-supply variants, all sharing the same performance figures above. Warranty: 5 years parts / 3 years labour on the tank cylinder, 2 years parts and labour on the heat pump, 1 year on other components.
