The MACON 340L is an all-in-one air source heat pump water heater sold in Australia under the Siddons Solarstream brand (model MAHRW010ZAB-340(01)): the same heat pump as the 270L model paired with a larger 340 L storage tank. It uses R134A refrigerant, delivers 4.1 kW of heating with a rated power input of 1.15 kW, and operates in ambient temperatures from -5 to 45 degrees C. Rated performance is measured at 7 degrees C dry bulb / 6 degrees C wet bulb outdoor air, 20 degrees C water inlet, 60 degrees C water outlet.
The unit heats to a rated outlet temperature of 60 degrees C (70 degrees C maximum) and carries a pressure-relief valve rated at 850 kPa. Sound output is 50 dB(A) and the cabinet is IPX4 rated. The tank stands 1840 mm high on a 735 x 735 mm footprint and weighs 106 kg net (116 kg gross).
Warranty is 10 years on the tank with pure water supply (8 years with a Tanamet Crystal filter in mineralised or rainwater areas, otherwise 3 years), 3 years on all other parts, and 1 year on labour. The same physical unit is registered without the “(01)” suffix as MAHRW010ZAB-340.
