The Midea MHP280F-E1 is the larger tank size in the same all-in-one family as the MHP170F-E1: a single outdoor cabinet with an integrated 280 L tank (300 L physical volume) and an R290 refrigerant circuit that heats the water directly through the tank’s built-in water-side heat exchanger. The heat pump runs across an ambient range of -7 to 43 degrees C, switching to the electric auxiliary heater outside that band.
Hot water delivery defaults to 60 degrees C and is field-adjustable from 55 to 70 degrees C. The unit carries a standard electric auxiliary heater (E-heater) that shares the tank’s water temperature sensor and control logic with the heat pump, giving Economy, Hybrid, and E-heater-only operating modes plus a weekly legionella disinfection cycle to 60 degrees C.
Midea’s warranty covers the storage tank for 5 years, the compressor for 3 years, and other Midea-supplied components (valves, elements, thermostats, anodes) for 1 year.
