The Neopower NA45-320B is the largest model in the Black Shield all-in-one range, using a microchannel heat exchanger with an R290 (410 g) inverter compressor in a single cabinet (650 mm diameter, 2090 mm tall, 146 kg net). Declared performance is 2.9 kW heating capacity, 0.537 kW power input and a COP of 5.4 at an ambient of 20 degC / 15 degC with water heated from 15 to 55 degC. Noise is 42-48 dB(A) depending on operating mode.
The unit runs across an ambient range of -7 to 46 degC, with an advanced inverter compressor and electronic expansion valve. Standard mode (heat pump only) defaults to 55 degC; Hybrid mode brings the 1.6 kW electric element in to lift outlet temperature to a default of 70 degC (max 75 degC). Defrosting is by 4-way valve, and the sizing guide rates this tank for 4-6 people.
This is the same Black Shield design and spec sheet as the NA43-210B and NA44-270B. Warranty (Imaca Pty Ltd) is 7 years on the tank and 5 years on the compressor, with 2 years labour cover (5 years under the Solar Victoria Solar Homes Program).
