Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.

The Power Bay PB-270RE is an integral, all-in-one heat pump water heater: the heat pump and a 270 L storage tank are built into a single freestanding unit, with the condenser coil wrapped around the outside of the tank rather than sitting inside the water path. It runs on R290 refrigerant (400 g charge) with a GMCC rotary compressor and an electronic expansion valve, rated at 2.82 kW heating capacity and 0.70 kW power input (COP 4.15 at air 20/15 degC, water 15-55 degC), the same heat pump used across the Power Bay all-in-one range.

On heat pump alone the unit operates from -7 to 43 degC ambient, extending to -15 to 43 degC with the 1.8 kW electric backup element engaged. Rated outlet water temperature is 60 degC (max 70 degC), and the controller runs weekly legionella control by heating 90% of the tank to 60 degC. The tank is enamel-lined with 40 mm polyurethane insulation, sound level is 49 dBA, and dry unit weight is 118 kg.
