Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Seutron TRON-320E is an integral heat pump water heater: the R290 heat pump and 320 L storage tank are built into one outdoor unit, 640 mm in diameter and 2210 mm high, with a net weight of 122 kg. Rated on inlet water from 14 degrees C to 55 degrees C and air at 19 degrees C DB / 15 degrees C WB, the heat pump delivers 2.5 kW of heating capacity at a rated power input of 455 W. It operates in ambient air temperatures from -10 to 43 degrees C, outside which the heat pump stops and the electric element takes over.
This model carries a 1.5 kW electric backup element, which runs together with the compressor in Turbo mode, giving a combined maximum input of 2230 W (9.8 A). Outlet water temperature is adjustable from 35 to 65 degrees C. R290 is a flammable refrigerant, so the unit must be installed outdoors only, in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources.
TRON-V1-320E and TRON-V0-320E are the same physical unit registered under two generation codes; the V0 variant is rated to a slightly lower water supply pressure (850 kPa PTR setting versus 1000 kPa for V1) but shares all other specifications above.
