Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Siddons Solarstream 261SMCD is the R290 (hydrocarbon/propane) version of the 261SMBD: the same split-system layout, with an outdoor heat pump unit connected by pre-charged refrigerant lines to a 261 L glass/enamel-lined storage tank, and the same wrap-around condenser coil design. R290 is a natural refrigerant with negligible ozone-depletion potential and very low global warming potential compared with fluorocarbon alternatives.
The heat pump draws a maximum 1.38 kW electrical load and operates across the -5 to 45 degrees C ambient range, with a factory-default tank thermostat set point of 57 degrees C (adjustable 50 to 65 degrees C). No electric backup element is fitted or required.
Warranty is 5 years on the storage tank, 4 years on the compressor, 2 years on other heat pump parts, and 1 year on labour.
