Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Solahart Atmos 325HAV is a split-system heat pump water heater: a separate heat pump module is bolted to the side of a 325 L vitreous enamel lined tank and shipped separately for on-site assembly. A circulator pumps water from the tank through a heat exchanger in the heat pump module, where R134a refrigerant transfers heat absorbed from ambient air into the water, rather than the refrigerant contacting the tank directly.
The heat pump delivers an average heating capacity of 2.0 kW and a COP of 3.6 at 19 degrees C ambient (water heated 15 to 60 degrees C). The heat pump’s stated operating range is a minimum of 3-5 degrees C and a maximum of 45-55 degrees C ambient air (exact threshold varies by unit); outside this range a 3.6 kW electric element boosts the water to 70 degrees C.
Measured noise is 52 dB(A) at 1 metre. The unit is recommended for 24-hour continuous tariff or a minimum 16-hour extended off-peak power supply.
