The Stiebel Eltron SHP-O 201 Premium is an all-in-one integral heat pump water heater: the R290 heat pump sits in the upper section of the cabinet directly above a 200 L enamel-lined DHW cylinder, with no separate outdoor unit or field refrigerant piping. Average power consumption at the AS/NZS 5125.1 A19/W15-61L test condition is 0.45 kW (0.7 kW maximum), and the heat pump operates down to -5 degrees C ambient, up to +43 degrees C, a wider cold-end range than the Plus series.
A 1.5 kW electric emergency/auxiliary heater backs up the heat pump outside the application limits and can be run manually for rapid heat-up. The heat pump alone reaches a default set temperature of 61 degrees C (max 65 degrees C); the auxiliary heater can lift the cylinder to a maximum of 75 degrees C. The unit stands 1478 mm tall, 650 mm in diameter, and weighs 98 kg empty (304 kg full), with a sound pressure level of 53 dB(A) at 1 m.
The Premium series uses active hot-gas defrosting (fan off, compressor continues to run) rather than the Plus series’ passive defrost, and carries its own item number (207264) distinct from the SHP-O 200 Plus, despite sharing the same 200 L cabinet footprint.
