Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.
The Thermann 270THMB36 is an integral heat pump water heater: the R290 heat pump and 270 L tank are built into a single monobloc unit, with a rotary compressor and no separate outdoor module to site. The unit delivers 3.6 kW of heating with a 0.8 kW power input at the manufacturer’s measurement condition (20 degrees C ambient, 15 degrees C water inlet, 55 degrees C water outlet), and runs in ambient temperatures from -5 to 43 degrees C.
Hot water is delivered at 60 degrees C, and a 2.4 kW electric element backs up the heat pump for faster recovery or during low-ambient operation. R290 is a low-GWP hydrocarbon refrigerant, and the unit uses a 3/4 inch BSP water connection.
Specs above come from the 270THMB36 model-specific parameter table in the manufacturer’s user manual. Register variants sharing similar model codes (270THMB36P, 270THMC36, 270THMC36P) may be closely related products, but the manual does not confirm they share this unit’s tank and heat pump, so they are excluded from this entry.
