Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.

The Vitocal 151-A 151.A10 is a monoblock air source heat pump: an R290 (propane) outdoor unit connected by heating water pipework to an indoor unit with a 190 L DHW cylinder integrated in the same cabinet. The heat pump also serves up to four heating or cooling circuits, so the indoor unit doubles as a space heating and cooling generator, with the DHW cylinder heated indirectly off the same heating water loop rather than by direct refrigerant contact.

At the EN 14511 A7/W35 rating point the A10 delivers 7.3 kW heating output for 1.46 kW power input, a COP of 5.0. A 2.4 kW single-phase instantaneous heating water heater is built into the indoor unit as backup, and DHW temperature is limited to 60 degrees C. Outdoor unit sound power is 56 dB(A) (ErP), rising to 66 dB(A) at maximum and dropping to 59 dB(A) in low-noise mode.

The outdoor unit is offered with a 400 V three-phase supply (AWOT-E-AC-AF) or a 230 V single-phase supply (AWOT-M-E-AC-AF); both use the same refrigerant circuit, indoor unit, and performance data. Certificate values below are the same across those variants.
