Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone, medium household, calculated from the model's registered performance data.

The Wilson Heat Pumps WHPS-250A is a split-system heat pump water heater: the same outdoor R290 heat pump unit used across the Aqualux range (model WHP-00315A) circulates water through its own plate heat exchanger to a 250 L stainless steel storage tank. The heat pump delivers 5.02 kW of heating with a COP of 4.52 at 20 deg C/15 deg C ambient (falling to 4.20 kW / COP 3.62 at 7 deg C/6 deg C), and is rated to operate from -25 to 45 deg C.

Sound pressure is 39 dB(A) at 1 metre, helped by a Mitsubishi inverter compressor, DC fan motor and compressor float mounting. Hot water is delivered up to 63 degrees C. The stainless-steel tank is manufactured in Australia and carries a 10-year tank warranty (6 years on the heat pump).

Wilson Hot Water has manufactured hot water systems in Melbourne for over 90 years; the Aqualux series is its current heat pump range, WaterMark certified and eligible for STCs across all Australian zones.
