The Living Wise WL-R290-200 is an all-in-one heat pump water heater sold in New Zealand under the “Living Wise” name (the same Wiseliving brand family registered in Australia): a micro-channel heat exchanger wraps around a 200 L enamel-lined steel tank with no contact between the refrigerant and the water. It uses R290 (400 g charge), rated at 2.78 kW heating capacity and 1.2 kW power input (COP 4.15) at 20/15 degrees C air with water heated from 15 to 55 degrees C, and operates across an ambient range of -7 to 43 degrees C.
A 1.8 kW electric element backs up the heat pump. Maximum outlet temperature with the element engaged is 75 degrees C, though the manual recommends a 55 degree C setpoint for efficient heat-pump-only operation.
Warranty covers the tank and refrigeration circuit for 5 years and electrical components for 3 years. The same manual also lists HH-R290-200 and PBN-R290-200 as further rebrand names on this physical unit.
