Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone and load size, calculated from the model's registered performance data, or taken directly from the register where it publishes a savings figure. VEU registers this data at the small load (the step-down load for a medium-rated system) and ESS at the medium load, so the two schemes' figures differ for the same zone.
The AquaPlus APAIO200 is an all-in-one heat pump water heater: a single cabinet integrating a microchannel heat exchanger, R290 refrigerant circuit and a 200 L vitreous enamel lined steel tank. It delivers 2.78 kW of heating with a rated power input of 1.2 kW and a COP of 4.15 (air 20C/15C, water 15C to 55C), and operates across an ambient range of -7 to 43 degrees C.
R290 is a natural refrigerant with a low GWP. The unit carries a 1.8 kW electric booster element for boost and manual sterilization modes, and a touchscreen controller with timer, automatic defrost and WiFi (Tuya) connectivity. Net weight is 104 kg, sound level 43 dB.
The manufacturer offers a 6 year warranty: 1 year parts and labour, the remaining 5 years parts only. The manual (branded HSA/Hunt Heating, sold as AquaPlus) covers both APAIO200 and APAIO270 as the same product family across two tank sizes.
