Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone and load size, calculated from the model's registered performance data, or taken directly from the register where it publishes a savings figure. VEU registers this data at the small load (the step-down load for a medium-rated system) and ESS at the medium load, so the two schemes' figures differ for the same zone.
The Daikin RQWX60-TU32 is a split-system CO2 (R744) heat pump water heater: the RQWX60ZV1A outdoor heat pump unit paired with a 315 L hot water storage unit (model TU32SSZA). The same heat pump unit is used across the 250 L and 315 L range; the tank size is set as a field setting on the controller during commissioning. Heat pump pipework runs up to 15 m and a height difference of up to 5 m between the two units.
R744 is a natural refrigerant with an ozone depletion potential of zero and a low global warming potential of 1. The system has a minimum operating temperature of -10 degrees C. Daikin Australia covers the equipment under a 5 year warranty from date of purchase.
The installation manual sighted does not include a performance specification table (heating capacity, power input, COP, sound level, or unit dimensions), so those fields are omitted here pending a data sheet or test report.
