Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone and load size, calculated from the model's registered performance data, or taken directly from the register where it publishes a savings figure. VEU registers this data at the small load (the step-down load for a medium-rated system) and ESS at the medium load, so the two schemes' figures differ for the same zone.

The Earthworker Energy NA42-SS315A is a split-system heat pump water heater: an outdoor R32 heat pump unit (KR35/DN4-A, 770 g charge) connected by insulated 20 mm copper send-and-return water pipes to a 315 L stainless steel (316) storage tank. The heat pump delivers 3.5 kW of heating capacity at a rated power input of 865 W, and runs across an ambient range of -7 to 43 degC, with a standard outlet temperature of 55 degC and a measured sound level of 51 dB(A).

An electric booster element is available as an option but is not fitted as standard, so the base unit relies on the heat pump alone. The heat pump unit weighs 50 kg net (931 x 407 x 551 mm) and the empty tank 70 kg net (620 mm diameter, 1990 mm tall).

The manual cites AS/NZS 3500.4 and AS/NZS 3000 as applicable installation standards. Warranty is 15 years on the tank, 6 years on refrigeration, 5 years on electrical components (parts only), with 1 year parts and labour across all components. The same physical product is sold under both the Earthworker Energy and Neopower brand names, with matching register entries under each.
