Certificate counts are computed from the model's registered performance data using the current regulated equations. A lodged claim depends on the specific installation, household size, and the scheme rules in force at creation. Energy savings % is against the AS/NZS 4234:2021 reference electric storage water heater for that zone and load size, calculated from the model's registered performance data, or taken directly from the register where it publishes a savings figure. VEU registers this data at the small load (the step-down load for a medium-rated system) and ESS at the medium load, so the two schemes' figures differ for the same zone.

The Emerald Energy HPR300-1 is a split-system heat pump water heater: an R290 outdoor heat pump unit connects to a 300 L tank by pre-charged quick-connect refrigerant couplings, so the refrigerant cycle heats the tank directly. The outdoor unit delivers 2.8 kW of heating with a 1.15 kW power input (at 19/15 degrees C DB/WB ambient, 9 degrees C initial water heated to 70 degrees C), and runs in ambient temperatures from -15 to 46 degrees C. It is the same outdoor unit fitted to the 200 L HPR200-1.

This variant has no electric backup element. Hot water is delivered at a default 55 degrees C.

The HPR300 and HPR300-1 register strings appear to be the same physical product across production revisions; the manual itself only names the HPR300-1 model number.
