The Solahart Atmos-Frost 270QDR is an all-in-one, frost-tolerant air-sourced heat pump water heater with a 270 L vitreous enamel lined cylinder and a wrap-around microchannel heat exchanger, so the heat exchanger is not in contact with the water. It uses R513a refrigerant, delivering an average heating capacity of 4.0 kW and a COP of 4.5 at 19 degrees C ambient (62% RH, water heated 8 to 60 degrees C).
A 2.4 kW copper-sheath immersion element backs up the heat pump in the coldest conditions, and a de-icing function improves cold-climate performance. Measured noise is 48 dB(A) at 1 metre.
