1. Project Initiation
How EnergyAE starts a residential SWH modelling project.
Phase 1 sets up the project so modelling can proceed without avoidable rework. The objective is to confirm the exact system list, client entity, brand, schemes, document pathway, portal access, and signatory details before TRNSYS work begins.
Use the Email Templates for kickoff, portal access, and documentation follow-up emails.
In this section
- Project Initiation Checklist - the setup checklist before modelling begins.
- Client Kickoff Form - the information request to send after quote acceptance.
- Portal Access Setup - checking CER, VEU, and IPART/TESSA access early.
Phase sub-tasks
- Create the SharePoint project folder from the residential modelling template.
- Create the Monday.com project item using the SWH modelling template.
- Send the kickoff email and request documents through SharePoint.
- Confirm system list, schemes, control settings, and contact responsibilities.
- Confirm portal access and authorised signatory status.
- Record all outstanding items before testing, documentation review, or modelling begins.
Exit gate
Phase 1 exits when the project folder, Monday.com item, kickoff details, portal/signatory status, and document intake path are complete enough for the next phase.
The next phase is Phase 2 - Testing & Certification.
