1D Analyser Tool
How to use the 1D Analyser in the TRNSYS Tool.
Use the 1D Analyser to sweep one variable (e.g., deadband) and find the optimal value that balances hot water availability and certificate returns.
Steps
- Open the “1D Analyser” sheet in the TRNSYS tool.
- Select the model from the dropdown.
- Define the range of deadband values (TDB1 or Tdb_hp) for zones 3–5. Use judgment to decide which zones to analyse.
- Find the maximum deadband that satisfies MDT ≥ 45 while maximizing certificates.
Trade-off: Higher deadband reduces hot water availability. Find the balance that works for your application.
