Accessing VEU & ESS Portals
Confirming portal access and logging in before lodging a large commercial submission.
Portal access should already be configured and verified at project kickoff. If it has not been, see Portal Access Setup first.
Before lodging any application, confirm access still works — portal sessions expire and secondary-user permissions occasionally reset between kickoff and submission.
Confirm access before lodging
Log in to both portals before the submission window opens:
Use the alias email and credentials saved in the Energy Modelling Overview (EMO) spreadsheet. Have your Salesforce Authenticator app available for MFA.
TESSA signatory check
Before lodging an IPART submission, confirm the client’s Authorised Signatory is still active and available.
EnergyAE does not act as the IPART signatory for any client.
If access fails at submission
Raise with the director immediately — do not attempt to proceed without access.
- Check whether the secondary-user invite expired or was revoked; contact the client to re-add the alias
- Check the Salesforce Authenticator is still linked (the link can break if the app is reinstalled or the phone is changed)
- For the full setup procedure, see Portal Access Setup
