EnergyAE maintains a curated list of EN 14511 test labs we recommend to commercial heat pump clients. Knowing where to test and what to expect (price, lead time, communication style) is a recurring value-add to clients.
When to use
- At project kickoff if the client does not already have a chosen test lab.
- When a client asks for a recommendation.
- When the existing lab is creating problems (delays, ambiguous results, opaque communication) and we want to suggest an alternative.

What to capture per lab
- Lab name, address, accreditation body
- Primary technical contact (name, email, phone)
- EN 14511 vs other standards covered
- Typical lead time (under normal conditions, and any factors that lengthen it)
- Pricing tier (approximate; review annually)
- EAE relationship history (referral discounts, past project experience)
- Communication notes (e.g. responsiveness, English fluency, willingness to copy EAE on technical exchanges)
- Last project on which the lab was used and outcome
