2. Testing and Certification
Testing and certification requirements before Large Commercial modelling can proceed.
Phase 2 confirms that the project has the test and certification evidence required for VEU Activity 44 and ESS IHEAB modelling.
Large commercial heat pumps are tested to EN 14511, not AS/NZS 5125.1. EN 14511 tests the HP over a matrix of static air and water temperatures to produce a performance map, which feeds the AS/NZS 4234 annual simulation. Test conditions must be selected carefully to cover the simulation’s operating range — poor condition selection is the most common reason a performance map fails to support modelling.
